At Great Western Road we are delighted to announce the return of Sarah-Jane who is back in the salon after becoming a mum to baby Toby. Sarah-Jane is back being her usual bubbly self working alternative weekends from the 6th May. Returning to the salon it feels like Sarah-Jane was never away and we are excited to see what new creations she will come up with on past, presents and future clients.
On her first day back in the salon we had a catch up with Sarah-Jane:-
1. What is the most exciting thing about coming back to the salon?
I've missed the hustle and bustle of salon life and can't wait to be back in the environment again. I've missed the team so much and all my clients and I am very much looking forward to the banter and creating fabulous hair.
2. What do you think the upcoming hair trends will be?
Hair is getting shorter and sharper which excites me, although long hair is still very popular but a key look for me is condition and colour. Hair should be glossy, shiny and enhanced with bespoke colour tones, techniques and clever placement. My favourite look so far is our very own Rainbow Room International artistic team led Colour Spill. Using this technique enables clients to be as subtle or as bold as they like but still be bang on trend.
3. What has been your career highlight so far?
There are so many to choose, each assistant that qualified in my academy class was a huge highlight, as was mentoring stylists towards their promotions, but the most memorable for me has to be doing the alternative hair show in the Royal Albert Halls with the artistic team and taking a bow on stage. Another is obviously TITP, being back stage working with all the artists I love and admire year after year is a huge privilege and honour for me.
4. What hair care advice would you give to clients?
To invest in the correct products to suit and maintain the hair, improving shine and condition. By doing this it allows us hairdressers to work our magic giving clients beautiful, easy to manage looks that they can easy recreate also allowing us to do bigger colour changes in the future.
We're looking forward to having you back, Sarah!
